ABOUT THIS TOUR
We begin our tour with the scenic journey to Kotor in Montenegro. For a little country, Montenegro is not short of showstopping scenery and Kotor is the jewel in its crown. Wedged between mountains in the bay of Kotor, this medieval town started to fortify itself in the 9th century and is now completely encircled by walls, looping 260m above it. By day the wall blends into the mountainous landscape, but at night, when the walls are lit up, it makes for a truly awesome experience. You will spend the night in a small local hotel in Kotor. The following morning, we will set off for Dubrovnik, where an expert local guide will show you around the “Pearl of the Adriatic”.
You will see the Franciscan monastery and its beautiful cloister, the oldest pharmacy in Europe, the Sponza palace with its elaborate stone carvings and the cathedral. After your tour, you’ll be given lots of time to enjoy Dubrovnik at your leisure, perhaps just for a relaxed lunch or to walk the city walls and take the cable car for a spectacular view of the city. You can expect to be back in Split by early evening on Day 2 of your tour.
