Mostar is undoubtedly the most beautiful city in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. It is famous for the impressive Ottoman–style bridge spanning the Neretva river, which was destroyed during the war in Bosnia and Hertzegovina but subsequently rebuilt. There are still poignant reminders of the legacy of that war in the street art and damaged buildings to be found around the city, but you will also be impressed by the wonderful spirit of local people and its dramatic beauty. The buzz of the local bazaar offers a great shopping opportunity and you might be lucky enough to witness daredevil diving from the bridge during the season. From Mostar we head down to Počitelj. This fortified town contains a few scattered homes and cafes, a beautiful mosque, a tower and a citadel, surrounded by the remains of a city wall.

In 1996, Počitelj was added to the list of the world’s 100 most endangered cultural heritage sites, by the World Monuments Watch – so definitely worth a visit. Međugorje has been of spiritual interest since 1981, when the Virgin Mary is reported to have appeared to local children. The town has been a site of pilgrimage ever since and our tour will give you the opportunity to visit the Mount of Appearance, where the original sighting is said to have taken place. Alternatively, guests who prefer to enjoy nature, will be taken to Kravice waterfall where you will be able to enjoy a refreshing swim, some walking or just a nice lunch at the cafe.
